Its wisdom has application in everyday life. It can help us achieve inner growth and guide us toward outer purpose and expression. It can return us to oneness with the universe and bring more meaning into our lives.

On Tuesday, February 1, Ilchi Lee, author and founder of Dahn Yoga, Brain Education and numerous meditation methods, will launch a Facebook event to introduce an ancient text passed down in Korea, the Chun Bu Kyung, to a new generation of readers. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the text through Lee’s daily Facebook posts, get insight for boosting their energy and can win prizes by contributing comments.

The Chun Bu Kyung is an 81-character numerical description stating that all life was derived from one creative source, and it has served as the essence of Lee’s teachings and philosophy, which is rooted in the belief that ki energy can heal individuals, society and the earth.

“Everything in the universe came from one source and is divided into the spiritual, material and energetic,” Lee says of the script’s core message. “Its wisdom has application in everyday life. It can help us achieve inner growth and guide us toward outer purpose and expression. It can return us to oneness with the universe and bring more meaning into our lives.”

The Chun Bu Kyung is the oldest scripture of the Korean people and pre-dates the introduction of Taoism, Buddhism and other forms of spirituality and religion. It tells how all life grows, evolves and reproduces until it returns to its source—oneness, which is comprised of the orders of heaven, earth and human. Before falling into obscurity, Lee says the script was an integral part of Korean society, adopted by several dynasties of Korean rulers and taught to the population.

“Chun Bu Kyung has developed into mind-body practices, such as Shinsundo, from which my Brain Education philosophy has been derived,” said Lee. “It contains the essence of the trinity, in which good and evil, life and death and heaven and earth are not defined as opposites but as parts of the same cosmic harmony. When we realize that our essence is that of the cosmos, that we are in fact part of that energy, we can experience oneness. We can return to the creative source. This is the message of the Chun Bu Kyung.”

To educate people about the Chun Bu Kyung, the staff of Ilchi.com will post a phrase of the day on Facebook every weekday throughout the month of February. Participants who comment about the phrase or principle will be entered to win a weekly prize, a pack of Chun Bu Kyung Wisdom Cards, and the grand prize, Lee’s calligraphy of the Chun Bu Kyung characters. Five weekly award winners will be announced each Friday during the February event, and the three grand-prize winners will be announced on Monday, February 28.
