MSI Credit Solutions started its first health program during the month of February. With busy schedules that include work, family, school and other events, it’s hard at times to fit in the time for health. MSI is encouraging its employees to dedicate time to their health with short, five-minute workout breaks.
Workouts will include activities such as jump roping, lunges, core workouts and box jumps. President Ricardo Mendiola will be leading the group in the workouts.
Vanica Anguiano commented on the company’s new program, “I look at it as no longer having to sacrifice health. Now that we have the availability to dedicate some time at work, there is no excuse of not fitting it into my schedule. Even though it is a small time that is dedicated to work out, I already feel so much better.”
The hope is that MSI employees will make these workplace exercises part of their daily routines. Not everyone has time to set aside to work out away from the office. Finding time to work out can be a challenge. That’s why MSI has started a program to give its employees time for a brief workout during the day. Healthy employees tend to be happier and more productive. The new health program will keep employees healthy and energetic and potentially save the company costs for health insurance and absenteeism.
MSI also hopes to build teamwork, motivate employees and provide the opportunity to make small changes to the health of its employees overall.
