INFINITT Healthcare recently announced that it has established a new global business unit, covering countries of the GCC (Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf ) and several countries in Africa. INFINITT Middle East and Africa (IMEA) is INFINITT Healthcare’s eighth subsidiary following North America, Japan, China, Germany, UK, Taiwan and Malaysia.
A recent survey by Kuwait Finance House Research showed a total expenditure of 18 billion dollars in 2010 for hospital expansions and the importation of medical devices. Growing at a rate of 15% per year, projections estimate this market will reach more than 55 billion dollars by 2020. INFINITT Healthcare is preparing to address the demand for healthcare IT software and infrastructure through the development of this new business unit.
INFINITT Healthcare started providing our PACS product to Al Noor group of Kuwait in 2009 (3 hospitals, 2 clinics), and has received permission to establish IMEA after thorough preparation during the second half of 2010.
