What: Press conference call that affects every person who uses the internet. The non-profit, multi-industry Information Card Foundation is formed to protect individual identity on the internet.

Paul Trevithick, Chairman of the Information Card Foundation, and Charles Andres, Executive Director of the Information Card Foundation will give a ten minute briefing on the organization, its mission and the outcome it seeks for all internet users and businesses conducting commerce online.

About the Information Card Foundation
The Information Card Foundation (ICF), http://www.informationcard.net , is a non-profit foundation created to advance a simpler, more secure digital identity on the Internet. The organization’s mission is to increase control over personal information while enabling mutually beneficial digital relationships between people and businesses. The mission will be pursued through the proliferation of Information Cards (i-cards).

The ICF is led by board members from technology, banking, credit industries plus nine individual leaders in the technology community. The organization includes members from Australia, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Information Cards take a familiar off-line consumer behavior – using a card to prove identity and provide information – and bring it to the online world. Information Cards are a visual representation of a personal digital identity which can be shared with online entities. Internet users are able to manage the information in their cards, have multiple cards with different levels of detail, and easily select the card they want to use for any given personal or commercial interaction.
