EC-Council University (ECCU), in an effort to encourage information security professionals to deepen their technical expertise and expand their managerial, leadership and communication skills, is offering a $17,000 Ethical Hacking Scholarship.

The scholarship is for the Master of Security Science (MSS) Program, which is a 36-39 hour program delivered via the Internet and can be completed in as little as two years. The program offers in-depth instruction in the following disciplines: ethical hacking, network security, digital forensics, disaster recovery, organizational structure and behavior, leadership and communication.

According to ECCU President, Sanjay Bavisi, “Communication is an integral part of the program. Information security professionals will learn a skill that has been sited as ‘essential’ by managers and executives; the ability to communicate with both information security professionals and non-information security professionals.”

Mr Bavisi went on to say “Not only is the program unique because of its emphasis in communication and management skills, but also because it ensures that graduates will gain a strong technical foundation as well.”

The MSS is designed for working professionals as many of the courses encourage students to apply what they learn in the program to tasks and procedures in their professional environment, and conversely, to draw upon their professional experience to enhance their learning environment. Candidates whom are interested in the scholarship must hold a bachelor’s degree and should visit http://www.eccuni.us for more information.
