Larson Electronics’ announced the addition of several new infrared LED light emitters, including models that include 360 watts, 480 watts and 600 watts of infrared light in the 850nm or 940nm range. The infrared LED lights operate on 12/24 volts or they can be configured for high voltage applications to 277 Volts AC 50/60 Hz.

High Powered Infrared LED Light

Larson Electronics announced several new additions to its line of high powered infrared LED lighting, including the LEDLB-120IR 360 watt infrared LED light, the LEDLB-160-IR infrared 480 watt LED infrared light and the 600 watt LEDLB-200-IR infrared light. The infrared LED lights can be configured for 850nm or 940nm wavelengths or a combination of infrared and visible lighting. The larger infrared lights are larger versions of the popular MRAP/MATV light, LEDLB-80X2-VIR and the LEDLB-80X2-VIR infrared and visible LED light combinations which are commonly deployed throughout US military forces vehicles in Afghanistan and Iraq. With the separate power inputs, operators can connect the visible lights to their black out systems, while the infrared portion of the lights remains on all the time.

“We continue to develop optics and configurations that deliver distance and penetration with our LED lights, and these larger infrared LED lights can illuminate areas several thousand feet from the vehicle,” said Rob Bresnahan. “In flood mode, we are even seeing military installations adopt these infrared LED lights for general area, covert lighting. They can illuminate a secure area from a pole-top and easily switch from visible light to covert infrared lighting. We have developed new bracket and pole top mounts to accommodate these infrared light applications.

Larson Electronics produces a wide variety of LED lighting, including infrared LED lights, explosion proof LED lights for hazardous location area lighting and a variety of handheld LED lighting. Operators from industrial, military and commercial applications use to find heavy duty lighting for low voltage and high voltage requirements.
