Supplies-Side Economics: What Inexpensive OEM Cartridges Mean to You.
The second annual forum presented by Recharger Magazine and Lyra Research will deliver valuable market research intelligence and insight covering a broad range of topics in the ink jet and toner consumables industry aimed at OEM vendors, remanufacturers, new compatibles makers, and retail ink jet refillers. The conference's agenda features four of Lyra's world-class industry analysts and select guest speakers, who will discuss industry trends that are affecting profit models in the aftermarket consumables business. Register now as part of your World Expo trade-show registration. Registration is limited, and early registrations indicate a capacity turnout. The registration fee is $475 in advance or $525 at the door. (If you have already registered for World Expo, please consult your confirmation e-mail for instructions on how to add this conference to your registration.)

Charles Brewer, managing editor of The Hard Copy Supplies Journal, the leading publication covering digital imaging consumables, commented on the preshow event. "The 'Supplies-Side Economics' preshow conference is the ideal way to obtain vital research, insights, and know-how, enabling you to network more effectively with other attendees during Recharger's World Expo 2007. Attendees will also benefit from the opportunity to meet with four Lyra analysts at one event focused on the ink jet and toner cartridge consumables industry." Analysts are available for a limited number of analyst meetings during World Expo 2007. For scheduling, contact Brian Jones by phone at 1-617-454-2641 or by e-mail at bjones (at) lyra (dot) com.

About the Sponsors
Frank Stefansson, CEO and president of Lyra, spoke about the event's partners. "Along with Recharger's valued partnership in planning and executing this event for two years now, we are excited about NineStar's distinctive and wide-reaching commitment as the official event sponsor. We also recognize Static Control Components' double sponsorship of our substantial conference binder and the convenient tote bags, and we are grateful to SME/Inkjet Factory, who will be providing refreshments to attendees as the morning-break sponsor."

Blog Coverage
Stefansson also discussed the event's official blog coverage. "Along with his popular guest column, 'Observations,' in Lyra's Hard Copy Observer, Jim Lyons, printer-industry blogger, analyst, and independent consultant, will write about the conference presentations in his widely read blog, 'Jim Lyons Observations.' At the 2007 Lyra Imaging Symposium, Jim's blog offered substantial perspectives to industry leaders who could not attend the event, and we're looking forward to his insight and viewpoints at the World Expo conference." Jim Lyons' real-time blog coverage of the event will be available at http://jimlyonsobservations.blogspot.com.

Conference Overview
Printer OEMs are trying out a new strategy that could upend the razor-and-blades business model. The new strategy involves selling more expensive hardware and cheaper supplies, and it could have a dramatic impact on demand for aftermarket toner and ink cartridges. What will this mean for competing OEMs and aftermarket vendors who have long relied on low prices to attract buyers? Attend this full-day event for critical information on new OEM technologies, marketing strategies, and tactics that ink jet and toner cartridge vendors can use to compete effectively in this changing market. Lyra's analysts will deliver market data and analysis, and high-level industry speakers will provide attendees with added perspectives. This event is also a great place to connect and network with colleagues before the hectic trade-show floor opens.

Lyra speakers include:
· Charles Brewer, managing editor, The Hard Copy Supplies Journal, Lyra Research;
· Andy Lippman, industry analyst and program manager for ink jet supplies, Lyra Research;
· Cortney Kasuba, industry analyst and program manager for laser consumables, Lyra Research; and
· Jim Forrest, senior analyst, Lyra Research.
