Calling all artists. Castle Ink Cartridges, a leading online inkjet cartridge retailer has announced an ink contest that could reward you with up to $2,500.

"Ink can help so many people express themselves creatively, and that is why our interests extend far beyond the home or office printer," says Lauren Elward, CEO of Castle Ink Cartridges. That's clearly the case as Castle Ink is offering up thousands of dollars to anyone willing to share their best ink design, tattoo, or tattoo design.

Contestants who find a way to creatively incorporate the Castle Ink logo into their ink design are likely improving their chances of winning. Though according to Castle Ink's website, pre-exiting tattoos that are unique and interesting as well as new designs, are both acceptable. The contest ends October 15, 2009. Additional Contest Details
Castle Ink is offering $1,000 for the most creative use of the Castle Ink logo in a piece of ink art work or tattoo, and another $1,000 for the most creative general ink work or tattoo or tattoo design.

In addition, Castle Ink is offering up another $1,000 for artists and ink enthusiasts willing to get tattooed with the winning design. Contestants who submit a winning design and get the tattoo could end up with $2,500, which includes a $500 bonus. Elward also noted that outside of this contest, anyone who is willing to get a tattoo that visibly includes a Castle Ink reference, such as the website address or logo, should contact Castle Ink. Castle Ink is willing to pay for the tattoo, and then some.
