I decided to create the best of both worlds, a sturdy protective case with a built-in stand,” said idoStand Creator Allan Ospina

idoStand, a new iPhone accessory that combines an integrated stand plus a bumper case, is gaining backers through their crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

With the Kickstarter campaign that ends on July 28, the idoStand has a little over half way to go to reach their goal of raising $20,000 in pledges.

Features of the idoStand

Built-in legs are the main features of the idoStand case. With legs that pivot backwards, users can either position their iPhone in landscape mode—which is ideal for watching videos—or portrait mode, which works well for video chatting and web browsing. The legs will lock into the user’s position of your choice and will not collapse until the user decides to close them.

The idoStand is also built for protecting the iPhone. It is designed with raised bezels to prevent the glass from touching the surface. The unique design of the case allows it to take the hits when the phone falls.

“I have always had to have a separate stand for my phone as well as a case, and I knew there could be a simpler way to create a stand that was easily portable,” said idoStand Creator Allan Ospina. “I decided to create the best of both worlds, a sturdy protective case with a built-in stand.”

Imagine meeting someone for coffee and they are running late; now, you can watch a video without having to prop your phone up manually, or easily browse the web without having to hold the phone.

Kickstarter Campaign

The idoStand is being offered on Kickstarter in several colors, including green, white, pink, blue, gray and black. Another version, the idoStand Stealth, is made out of aircraft aluminum and is anodized in black for a more heavy duty case. This case is available at the $25 pledge level.

The allanbritto Bold Special Edition idoStand is another option, made out of plastic coated with satin silver paint. This case is also available for $25.

Retailers have the option of buying the case in bulk. Backers at the $1,200 backers will receive 120 idoStands, 20 of each color. These are also great for company gifts.

With the iPhone 5 speculated to be released later this year, Ospina has created a $35 reward. Backers of this reward are able to get an idoStand of their choice and the promise of an idoStand that will fit the iPhone 5 when Ospina creates it.
