Inovis BizManager™ Supports Corporate Compliance with SEC Mandate for XBRL Filing of Financial Data

Inovis today announced that its Inovis BizManager™ family of business-to-business, service oriented architecture gateway solutions will support corporations that must comply with the SEC mandate to submit financial data or EDGAR filings to the regulatory commission using XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language), a data format that utilizes XML standards. Based on the current mandate, large filing companies must comply with the mandate in early 2009 while all remaining public companies will be required to file using XBRL in 2010.

The level of regulatory compliance requirements continues to increase with the ultimate goal of providing greater transparency into the US financial markets

Standardization of SEC filings via XBRL is expected to benefit all participants in the financial information supply chain. Registrants would benefit from improved efficiency in preparation and submission of SEC filings. In addition, the use of XBRL is expected to improve the transparency of filings, increase market exposure and inspire greater investor confidence with easier access to financial data for analytical and review purposes to aid in the investment decision-making process.

"The level of regulatory compliance requirements continues to increase with the ultimate goal of providing greater transparency into the US financial markets," said Steve Cochran, Chief Marketing Officer, Inovis. "What has not changed is the fundamental need to move sensitive financial data in a secure fashion that provides tracking, historical audit trails, governance and the confidence of knowing that your organization can ensure compliance."
