Our team has grown tremendously as we participate in these life changing events.“

Understanding that many people and families today have difficulty affording dental services, Mission of Mercy events provide “no questions asked” care to those in need. According to the American Dental Association, dental disease is almost entirely preventable and oral health is just as important as the health of the rest of your body. Untreated dental disease can lead to serious health problems such as infection, damage to bone or nerve, and tooth loss. Infection from tooth disease can even spread to other parts of the body and in rare cases, can lead to death.

The Professional Protector Plan for Dentists will also contribute and volunteer time at the Michigan Dental’s Inaugural Mission of Mercy, Wisconsin Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy, Nebraska Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy, New Mexico Dental Foundation Mission of Mercy, Iowa Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy and Central Arizona’s Mission of Mercy.

Dental Mission of Mercy events have donated dental services to indigent patients for over a decade. The first dental MOM was held in Virginia, July 2000. MOM events are now held in 17 states and are usually sponsored by state or local dental societies. Over the course of its history, 100,000+ patients have been treated, and over $50 million of donated dental services have been provided by caring dental professionals.
