IntegraScan Increases Funding for the Safe Kids Criminal Background Check Program by $3,000,000 a Year

Due to the high demand for the Safe Kids background check program by youth organizations, IntegraScan is increasing the funding for its Safe Kids program by $3,000,000 a year. The organization has already given away over $265,000 in free background checks within the first couple weeks of this program.

Loxahatchee, FL (PRWEB) July 10, 2009 -- On June 25th, IntegraScan launched the Safe Kids criminal background check program which provides $500,000 in free background check donations per month to any youth organization in need of performing checks on employees and volunteers. Due to the high demand for the program, IntegraScan is now increasing their monthly funding by $250,000.

To date, the program has provided over $265,000 in free background checks and the results of many of those donated background checks have been startling. An accused rapist, a person convicted of child abuse, people with assault charges, recent drug and DWI charges have been prevented from working with children as a result of this program.

IntegraScan realizes that due to the dire economy, many youth organizations simply are unable to perform a criminal background check on their employees and volunteers due to a lack of funding. With the Safe Kids program, these organizations simply need to contact IntegraScan and they will receive free background checks to ensure the safety of their children.

IntegraScan realizes the importance of providing youth organizations with access to background checks and this program has garnered nationwide attention from not only youth organizations, but also government offices and parents as well.

In order to ensure the safety of all children participating in youth programs, IntegraScan urges parents and youth organization management to take advantage of this program and become involved in the process of verifying the criminal past of anyone employed or volunteering in these organizations. Parents are urged to contact their child's youth organizations to determine their efforts and offer them the opportunity to take advantage of this program.

There are many more individuals with criminal backgrounds that try to work with youth on a daily basis. By taking a proactive stance and performing a criminal background check today, much harm can be prevented from taking place by the many sex offenders, rapists, child abusers, and drug and alcohol users that seek these positions in youth organizations.
