The website will celebrate its official launch on April 26, 2011 in honor of World Intellectual Property Day. See

World Intellectual Property Day was created by the World Intellectual Property Organization in 2000 to: "raise awareness of the role of intellectual property in our daily lives, and to celebrate the contribution made by innovators and artists to the development of societies across the globe.” On World Intellectual Property Day this year, the focus is on "Designing the Future". Many don’t realize what intellectual property really means or how intellectual property protections foster not only music, arts and entertainment, but also innovation which helps drive economies and create jobs. The stated aims of World IP Day are:

  •      to raise awareness of how patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets impact daily life;
  • to increase understanding of how protecting IP rights helps promote creativity and innovation;
  • to celebrate creativity, and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe; and
