World of Asphalt is once again coming to Orlando, Florida March 10-12, and Sakai will be there in full force with a host of new products displayed for the first time at that trade show.
SAKAI will be demonstrating their best-in-the-industry Compaction Information System that is fast gaining acceptance with paving contractors and jurisdictions across America. This innovative system is designed to improve compaction quality and consistency for both asphalt and soil projects. SAKAI designed this system with a simple touch screen control panel for quick and easy access. This system also links to a GPS system and provides real time compaction information to the operator. This enables the operator to develop a consistent roller pattern which is viewed right at the operator's station on an easy-to-view, color-coded monitor. It also provides a quick visual display of where additional passes may or may not be required.
SAKAI's Compaction Information System also allows operators to upload site plan files directly into the on-board computer via a laptop, external hard drive or thumb drive. This technology develops a compaction plan for the project, which the operator can follow through the compaction process. At the end of the process, operators can print out a project report or download the information to a laptop, hard drive or thumb drive, which can be later uploaded to an office computer for further analysis. In a pinch, the system is also designed to be used without having to load a site plan and can easily be run in real time by the operator. The plan can always be created later. Sakai mainline HMA rollers also include mat temperature gauges and exclusive ExactCompact that makes impact spacing adjustments easy. Jobsite simulations will be demonstrated at the show.
Sakai has been very involved in both the Iowa State University and Colorado School of Mines test programs and has been active on their many test sites across the country, all with very consistent results when compared to traditional test procedures.
Sakai will also be showing a wide-range of double drum asphalt rollers, vibratory pneumatic tire rollers, combination vibration-oscillation rollers along with their new SW770 double drum roller. This sleek looking 4000 vpm roller has a drum width of 67" and is ideally suited for a wide variety of HMA projects including municipal streets, state highways, airport runways, large parking lots and other contemporary mix HMA projects among others.
In addition to their new and unique products, Sakai will have a full staff of applications specialists and technicians on hand to answer questions and explain these new technological advancements in detail. Stop by SAKAI's WOA booth# 1701 and check out these new innovations for yourself.
