High school students volunteer in the community and gain valuable life skills.

I want to highlight the many Catholic schools that are models for making diverse and meaningful connections in their community. Through their example and the lessons they have learned, all schools can improve their outreach.

Michele Pitman, CEO of intelliVOL, will speak today at the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) Convention in Houston, Texas. Ms. Pitman will talk about how schools extend their mission through service and the importance of student volunteerism for college readiness.

“Catholic schools can extend their mission and give service to the individuals, families, and organizations all around them through student community service,” said Ms. Pitman. “I want to highlight the many Catholic schools that are models for making diverse and meaningful connections in their community. Through their example and the lessons they have learned, all schools can improve their outreach.”

intelliVOL developed x2VOL, which manages, logs, tracks, and provides reports on service hours given by high school students.
