Ask the seller a question

vBid.me is a new Internet auction portal that fills a void, for legal items prohibited or afflicted on other sites such as eBay.
Want to sell by auction anything from an antique Napoleonic cavalry sword to a novelty insult toilet roll with a nation's flag or famous politician's face on each sheet? Want to sell an authentic antique or even a WW2 German army officer's hat or dagger? It was not that easy, until now.
vBid me is the brainchild of a disgruntled former prolific auction buyer and seller who lives on the Iberian Peninsula, semi-retired British citizen Mark Austin, better known for boutique villa resorts in South East Asia and travel portals. Mark, a prolific collector of antique swords who also buys and sells, decided to turn his disdain into something positive, an auction site that corrected all the ills as he saw them on eBay.
Mark explains "The problem for me was two fold. First, I did not understand and do not accept why I can not sell perfectly legal items such as antique swords on the likes of eBay. Second, as a seller I noticed my realized auction prices for antiques would go down in direct correlation with the number of reproductions being masqueraded as authentic items being sold on the same auction site. I also did not appreciate the rules governing the relationship and ultimately the legal protection afforded between buyers and sellers." So Mark, who already operates a successful antique edged weapon sales site Sword Sales EU, decided he could do better.
Mark has now launched two synergetic sites, vBay me, a forum / bulletin board for discussing and warning about internet auction fraud, etc. and vBid me, an auction site with, Mark claims, some major differences; the most obvious being vBid me specializes in items prohibited or seemingly afflicted elsewhere. Themed around Saint George and the Dragon, with the use of certain colours suggesting a certain well known portal is the dragon, vBid me has been launched as a free auction site; no buyer fees (of course), no seller listing or commission fees! Mark says he hopes to make sufficient money on enhanced listings plus from his own sales, which of course he says he can now continue to offer at auction but without the problems!
If you want to sell something that is perfectly legal where you are located and where you ultimately ship the item to, if you want to sell an item away from a site that you believe is afflicted with a sea of reproductions masquerading as authentic thereby driving your sales prices down, then vBid me is for you. What is more, launched with no seller basic listing fees or commissions, vBid me is hardly one of the more expensive auction sites.
When asked why exactly, apart from being free and for "delicate" items, vBid me is different to other internet auction sites in terms of buyer security and benefits for the sellers, Mark produced an extensive list covering seller bidder controls, an immediate and automatically published "Ask the seller a question" feature so concerns made to the seller are made public, full buyer and seller feedback with clearly defined rules, clear procedures on how to remove unfair or unsuitable questions and / or feedback within hours not weeks of receiving it, seller item authenticity refund guarantees, and many more. Mark says "Ask any regular eBay user what they don't like about that site and I believe I have sorted the issues they raise out on vBid me!"
Mark says he hopes his humble auction site makes a difference and becomes a worthwhile portal; "I most of all hope to see people say "vBid me is the auction site where it is almost impossible to get defrauded!" vBid me may be a low cost entry into a large ocean which is dominated by the monster of all auction sites but perhaps, just maybe Mark is on dry land, on his trusted Internet steed and holding a prohibited elsewhere awesome Napoleonic cavalry sabre in his hand, about to impale one seemingly invincible Californian dragon.
