The BLUE BOOK Top 20 is designed to represent the best CPA and affiliate networks, and I am privileged to assist Revenue Performance magazine in recognizing these industry-leading companies.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) November 16, 2010
Motive Interactive CEO and founder, Brendan J. Smith, was recently named to Revenue Performance magazine’s Blue-Ribbon Panel of performance marketing industry experts. mThink, the publisher of Revenue Performance, formed the 14-member panel to provide important input for the magazine’s BLUE BOOK Top 20 rankings of the leading CPA and affiliate marketing networks.
In addition to having the honor of serving on the Blue-Ribbon Panel, Smith had the distinction of participating in an unprecedented experience. This was the first time the ranking process of Revenue Performance magazine included a panel of industry experts. Members of the Blue-Ribbon Panel provided an informed insider’s perspective on the performance marketing industry, as well as guidance and input on interpreting the research results. The panelists—which represent publishers, advertisers, program managers and network executives with extensive experience—were carefully selected to provide insights from a broad cross-section of the industry.
Chris Trayhorn, founder of Revenue Performance magazine and CEO of mThink, praised the panelists for their valuable contributions to the final BLUE BOOK Top 20 rankings. He said: "The BLUE BOOK Top 20 rankings help advertisers and publishers cut through the clutter to find the quality networks that are best suited to their needs. The Blue-Ribbon Panel plays an important part in ensuring the rankings can be a trusted reference for everyone in the affiliate marketing industry."
Smith said: “The BLUE BOOK Top 20 is designed to represent the best CPA and affiliate networks, and I am privileged to assist Revenue Performance magazine in recognizing these industry-leading companies.”
Besides Smith, other distinguished members of the Blue-Ribbon Panel included Heather Paulson, president and founder of Paulson Management Group; Peter Klein, general manager of MonetizeIt/MediaWhiz Holdings; and Jennifer Lovette, Commission Junction’s vice president of client development and marketing. All of the panelists were invaluable to the ranking process, as they provided the “inside scoop” on intangible factors such as the reputation of the networks. Some of the ranked networks were represented by members of the panel; however, the magazine ensured that these panelists received no competitive advantage during the ranking process. Votes cast by panelists for their own networks were discounted and the panelists’ input represented only a small part—20 percent—of the networks’ final weighted score. The Blue-Ribbon Panel spent several months of extensive research that included analyzing the survey results of more than 5,000 publishers and advertisers representing 500 different networks.
In the 2010 BLUE BOOK Top 20, Revenue Performance magazine ranked ClickBank the No. 1 affiliate marketing network and named Epic Direct as the top CPA network. Incidentally, Motive Interactive—Smith’s company—was named No. 12 on the list of Top CPA Networks. The ranking results were published November 3.
