Vancouver, BC (Vocus) September 11, 2009
Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX: ICS), a leading provider of software solutions for mobile and embedded devices, today announced that it has entered into a worldwide Value Added Reseller (VAR) agreement with Entrek Software, Inc., makers of CodeSnitch™. CodeSnitch is an automated code-debugging tool for Windows Embedded CE and Windows Mobile. Mobile and embedded device developers at OEMs, silicon vendors, and carriers can now get CodeSnitch licenses directly from Intrinsyc, a single-stop shop for expert device development solutions, including engineering services.
CodeSnitch is the only choice for automatic runtime error detection for professional Windows Embedded CE and Windows Mobile software developers. By automatically detecting common code problems such as memory leaks, resource leaks, invalid parameters and more, CodeSnitch is complimentary to debuggers currently available through Microsoft Windows tool chains. The tool is compatible with all versions of Windows Mobile and Windows Embedded CE.
"Intrinsyc has strong expertise in Windows Embedded and Windows Mobile products and technologies, which makes them an ideal partner for reaching customers who will benefit from CodeSnitch," said Michael Salamone, CEO, Entrek. "In turn, we believe many of our customers will find value in the Intrinsyc product and service lines, which are similarly aimed at shortening development cycles and improving product quality."
"The Entrek CodeSnitch debugging tool is well regarded in the industry, with the top 50 OEMs of the world all being customers," said David Manuel, Vice President and General Manager of Device Development Solutions, Intrinsyc. "We use the tool internally to provide an extra level of error checking and find the graphical interface easy to use. It gives us the valuable analysis needed to help reduce development time and get our customers' devices to market faster with a higher quality."
David Manuel continued: "This agreement between Entrek and Intrinsyc is a strong link in the development ecosystem that supports Windows Embedded and Windows Mobile operating systems. It will allow customers to differentiate through innovation on high-confidence platforms that deliver rich-user experiences and seamless connections to the world of Windows."
