InventHelp, founded in 1984, is submitting this idea, the Filter Tap, to companies for their review and possible evaluation.

Changing an oil filter can be a time-consuming and messy task, so an inventor from Madison, Wisc., decided that there needed to be a better way to do this.

The patent-pending FILTER TAP facilitates oil changes by allowing for quicker, easier draining of an oil filter. As a result, it saves time and effort, as well as avoids messes and minimizes cleanup. Easy to use and ergonomic, the system is ideal for vehicle owners and professional garages.

The original design was submitted to the Edina office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
