A leading inventor service company, InventHelp is submitting the BEDSIDE BUDDY to companies for their review.

Watching television in bed is one way many people wind down after a busy day. However, it may be difficult to keep track of the remote control as they nod off to sleep. Fortunately, an inventor from Westland, Mich., had the same experience and decided to remedy the situation.

She developed BEDSIDE BUDDY to provide nighttime storage space not only for remote control devices but also for other personal items like cell phones, keys and glasses. As such, it keeps these items in an easily accessible location while the user is in bed. It thus prevents loss of, or damage to these items. At the same time, it eliminates the need for a night stand near the bed. It is, therefore, the ideal solution when furniture space is limited. Besides that, it is convenient, practical and affordably priced. It also saves time and effort. In addition, it is novel, user friendly and durable. Another benefit is that it can serve as a safe place to store a gun for personal protection.

The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. "I use my remote control in bed, and my cell phone doubles as my alarm clock. I needed a place to keep them safe and readily available at all times," she said.

The original design was submitted to the Bingham Farms office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
