Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is submitting the COUCH GUARD to applicable companies for their review.

"I worried about infants and young children falling off couches," said an inventor from Gloucester City, N.J. "Not wanting babies to be injured or killed, I came up with a way to prevent them from slipping off a couch and crashing to the floor."

He developed the COUCH GUARD to prevent an infant or young child from falling off a couch. This reduces the risk of injury and/or death, which is designed to enhance child safety. The accessory keeps a child safe and happy while sitting or lying on a couch. It offers added peace of mind to parents and caregivers. Furthermore, the device is adaptable for use with any couch.

The original design was submitted to the Philadelphia office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
