"My dryer began taking a long time to get a load of laundry dry," said an inventor from Naples, Fla. "Even after cleaning the lint trap, it still was operating inefficiently. I ended up having to clean out more clogs from the exhaust pipe toward the roof. I thought that the secondary filter should be located in a more convenient place so that it could be accessed and cleaned more quickly and easily."

He created a prototype for the patent-pending EASY DRYER VENT CLEANER to serve as a secondary lint trap for clothes dryers. The assembly can be accessed and cleaned out quickly and easily. The design eliminates the need to remove the exhaust pipe in order to clear a clog. It ensures that the dryer runs at maximum efficiency and also reduces the risk of trapped line causing a fire. All of this provides added peace of mind.

The original design was submitted to the Naples office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
