InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is submitting the LIFE SAVING FENDERS to companies for their review.

You’ve no doubt heard about auto accident victims being trapped inside their cars because the front doors were jammed shut. Fortunately, an inventor from Rensselaer, Ind., has discovered an effective way to keep the car doors clear in the event of a front end collision.

He developed the patent-pending LIFE SAVING FENDERS to prevent front car doors from jamming as a result of a collision. It does so by causing the front fender to break away on impact. Therefore, as a safety feature, it protects motorists involved in auto accidents against such a harrowing experience. Furthermore, it provides unrestricted access for first responders so accident victims are treated in a timely manner. Besides that, it decreases the number of fatalities and injuries related to car crashes. Another benefit is that, it reduces vehicle damage and repair expenses. It also helps reduce the number of insurance claims resulting in lower auto insurance rates. In addition, it is durable, lightweight and attractively styled.

The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “This idea came after my involvement in three separate automobile accidents,” he said. “In each instance, the front driver door jammed as a result of the collision, and I had to crawl out through another door.”

The original design was submitted to the Indianapolis office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
