A Pennsylvania-based invention company, InventHelp is submitting the PEOPLE MOVER to companies for their review.

An inventor from Alameda, Calif., wanted a way to transform mobility scooters into two-person vehicles. As such, he designed the PEOPLE MOVER – an accessory that would accommodate a passenger on a motorized scooter.

The PEOPLE MOVER allows a second individual to ride on an assistive vehicle. This product is ideal for use among elderly or disabled couples, as it eliminates the need for them to use two scooters in order to get around. This saves space, saves time and effort and enhances convenience. It can also enhance safety.

The inventor was inspired by experiences with his wife. “As senior citizens, my wife and I often use mobility scooters,” said the inventor. “It occurred to me that an accessory designed to accommodate a passenger on a motorized scooter would make such a vehicle more suitable and convenient for elderly and disabled couples.”

The original design was submitted to the San Francisco office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
