Improved Vehicle Sun-Protection System Invented by InventHelp Client (FRO-100)

Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is working to submit this idea, the Vehicle Sun Visor System, to companies for their review.

While the dangers of looking directly at the sun are well documented, the risk is compounded for drivers, particularly when the sun is low in the sky. An inventor from Bakersfield, Calif., however, has found a way to avoid the problem.

He created a prototype for the patented VEHICLE SUN VISOR SYSTEM, which extends shade protection for previously unshaded front and side windshield areas of a vehicle. It not only reduces eye strain from exposure to direct sunlight but also prevents motor-vehicle accidents caused by blinding sun glare.

As such, it promotes safety and comfort for those traveling in the front seat of a vehicle and is suitable as either a modification to current sun visors or as a standard design for sun visors in new cars. Furthermore, it is equally effective against exposure to sunlight through side windows and ideal for all types of vehicles using sun visors.

The system can be installed on both sides for use by the drive and the passenger. Moreover, it is convenient, versatile and adjustable for changes in the angle of sun glare as the vehicle changes direction. In addition, it is lightweight, easy to install and use and affordably priced.

Dissatisfied with the inadequate protection available with standard vehicle sun visors, the inventor said, "I invented this system because I could find no really effective way to block sun glare for drivers and front-seat passengers alike."
