Updata Advisors Adds Chase Sanders as Senior Vice President

Expands Team With Former Bear Stearns, DLA Piper Technology M&A Advisor.

Reston, VA (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 22, 2007 -- Updata Advisors, a leading investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions for the technology industry, announced today that Chase Sanders has joined the firm as Senior Vice President, based in the Reston, Virginia office. Sanders is a seasoned technology M&A advisor with a decade of experience in investment banking and corporate law roles with Bear, Stearns & Co., Montgomery Securities, Hogan & Hartson and DLA Piper where he completed more than 40 capital-raising and M&A transactions with an aggregate value of over $5 billion. Most recently, he has also been a successful entrepreneur as CEO of Atlantis Waterproofing & Mold Control.

Sanders served in the technology and telecom investment banking groups at Bear, Stearns & Co. and Montgomery Securities (now Bank of America). At Bear, Sanders became the senior east coast enterprise software banker. Sanders began his career as a corporate attorney in the Baltimore/Washington region with the firms of DLA Piper and Hogan & Hartson, where he advised clients in the technology and telecom industries.

Immediately prior to joining Updata, Sanders was CEO of Atlantis Waterproofing & Mold Control, a residential home services firm with over forty employees. During his tenure at Atlantis, he quadrupled the firm's revenue and profits and expanded its service coverage from one to eight states.

Sanders received a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, a Master's degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He earned a B.A. with distinction from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
