Independent Project Analysis, Inc. announced today that Dr. Allison J. Aschman, currently director for IPA’s Singapore office, will become Director for the Asia Pacific Region effective October 1, 2011, succeeding Rob S. Young.
IPA CEO Ed Merrow said, “Aschman has the drive and vision necessary to manage IPA’s fastest growing region. The Asia Pacific job is a big one with the territory ranging from China and Japan in the north all the way to Australia in the south and covering a vast array of cultures and languages. I am very confident in Allison’s ability to direct our operations and help our customers be more efficient and effective in their use of capital.”
After receiving her Ph.D. in Analystical Chemistry in 1995 from Duke University in the USA, Aschman spent 5 years in the chemical industry before joining IPA in 2000. After several years as a project analyst tackling progressively more difficult projects, Aschman was named Manager for Chemical, Life Science and Nutrition in late 2003. In 2009, Aschman was named Director for IPA Singapore.
Allison has led numerous benchmarking studies, individual project evaluations, and training workshops for a wide range of industries and clients. She has participated in special studies for individual clients and has led Industry-wide studies, including an analysis of the commissioning and qualification phase of pharmaceutical industry projects. In addition, she has developed several research studies presented at IPA's Industry Benchmarking Consortium meeting, including an examination of Responsive/Flexible Project Systems. Allison coordinated the meetings of the IBC for two years, which included an analysis of the performance and metric trends for over 50 IBC companies.
Aschman will remain resident in Singapore.
