Using the QI Macro’s Numbers Templates, Apple's iPad and Mac users can now create control charts, histograms, Pareto charts and more with Apple's Numbers App. This brings surprisingly easy-to-use Six Sigma, SPC (statistical process control) software to the iPad.

Why Numbers for the iPad and Mac? While the full QI Macros package works perfectly in Excel 2011 for the Mac, Excel is not yet supported on the iPad. The Numbers App; however, works well in both iPad and Mac. The other Office-like apps we tested on the iPad don't currently handle graphs well enough to support these tools. In addition, users can purchase the specific charts they need for a low cost.

Available charts include attribute control charts (c, g, np, p, t, u), variable control charts (XmR, XbarR, XbarS), histograms and Pareto charts. The Cp/Cpk template provides the user with Capability analysis, a frequent manufacturing requirement.
