Quixonic, developers of unique mobile audio applications, announced Wednesday the update its app, QUIXPIN, the first multi-deck DJ app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. QUIXPIN is available on the Apple, Inc. App Store store and is a free upgrade for existing users.

QUIXPIN, which was originally released in July 2009 and the first app to provide DJs of all levels everything they need to mix music on their iPhone or iPod Touch has been upgraded to include several new features. Included in the update are an automatic beat analyzer and the ability to record mixes in real-time, both unique features never before seen in a mobile multi-deck DJ app. The automatic beat analyzer enables DJs to mix songs more smoothly by determining how many beats per minute (BPM) there are in a song, visualize them in the app's multi-touch waveform display, and automatically sync two tracks together. The record feature enables DJs to save an entire mix set on their mobile device for later downloading and sharing with their friends.

QUIXPIN's latest update also includes a plethora of other features DJs will appreciate, including completely adjustable cross-fader and speed controls, as well as additional audio output modes for stereo mixing and external mixers. These features are on top of the existing 3-band parametric EQ, individual faders and gain control, and ability to cue a track while the audience hears another.
