We are able to combine leading touch technologies with enhancements and value-added services to satisfy strict industry regulations and bring the iPhone experience to the vertical markets.
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) October 19, 2011
Touch screen manufacturer and display enhancement integrator, Touch International announced today it is working to bring the iPhone-type experience to the vertical markets and change the face of touch in some challenging applications.
The Austin-based company is a touch screen supplier to leading device manufacturers in the military, medical, aerospace and transportation industries, and focuses on helping its customers deliver an intuitive user interface through smart engineering, display enhancements and optical bonding.
“The touch experience is a vital component to the end product, so it is imperative that we uphold our commitment to helping customers build cutting-edge, easy-to-use devices,” explains Touch International U.S. Sales Director Michelle Jones. “Since we have a full-service display enhancement and bonding segment in addition to our touch screen business, we are able to combine leading touch technologies with enhancements and value-added services to satisfy strict industry regulations and bring the iPhone experience to the vertical markets.”
With the touch industry forecasted to nearly double in 2011 and reach $23.9 billion by 2017, as estimated by research firm Display Search, Touch International is seeing strong demand for touch in specialty applications and expects adoption in non-consumer markets to grow exponentially in the years to come.
“With new uses for touch being discovered almost every day, device manufacturers and OEMs want to insert the same ease of use that they have with their mobile devices into business applications,” says Jones. “Sometimes they run into issues with standard off-the-shelf products, and that’s where we come in. It may be is as simple as needing a special size or moving the tail location; other times it may require custom printed cover glass, anti-reflection coatings and EMI shielding. We do it all.”
