Ethervision Unveils Revolutionary 'Bare Drums' iPhone Application

Bare Drums is the first and only professional grade, low latency drum pad application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. We are giving $500 to the best drum solo using Bare Drums. Watch attached video and see what is possible.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 27, 2009 -- Ethervision, a Chicago based multi-media agency renowned for its development of online communities and iPhone applications, has just launched Bare Drums, the first and only low latency, completely customizable, professional grade drum pad application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

"Bare Drums isn't the only drum pad application in existence, but it is definitely the best," says Randall Cross, founder of Ethervision. "The main aspect that sets it apart is the concept of low latency. That is, the time between when the user presses the drum pad and when the sound is heard is dramatically shorter than with all other drum pad programs. This results in a noticeably more accurate and responsive user experience. You really have to hear it to believe it!" To show off the depth of Bare Drums, Ethervision has created a comprehensive set of six video demos that are available for viewing on YouTube (key word: baredrums).

Bare Drums offers users the option to fully customize nearly everything about the drum pad app. Sounds ranging from percussion and cymbals to human voices can be assigned to any pad, and the volume of each pad is completely adjustable. Users can also clamp one pad to another, which allows one pad to go silent when another is hit. The color, size and layout of the pads can also be changed to suit the user's personal style. "We really wanted to encourage people to get creative both musically and visually," enthuses Cross.

To further that mission, Ethervision is sponsoring a "Think You Can Do Better Than The Demo?" contest, in which $500.00 cash will be awarded for the best Bare Drums solo. Contestants simply post their videos to YouTube, then email the link to baredrums @ ethervision.net for entry. "The winner will be announced exactly 40 days after Bare Drums is released, and will be chosen based on the best jam and most creative use of the application," says Cross. "No gimmicks, just $500.00 for the best jam. Period."

The Bare Drums iPhone application will be offered on iTunes at an introductory price of $1.99 only for the duration of the contest.
