Springfield, MA (PRWEB) July 25, 2006
The Harrington Trace Corporation announced today that its gourmet Israeli Gold™ extra virgin olive oils are now available at Sobeys stores in three provinces in western Canada. Sobeys is introducing all three extra virgin single-note varietals at its stores in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Israeli Gold™ extra virgin olive oils were introduced in the United States in July 2005 and quickly met with acclaim. The Manzanilla varietal won the Best New Oil, Vinegar or Salad Dressing Item at Kosherfest 2005 in New York in November. Saveur Magazine named both the Manzanilla and Barnea varietals to its list of twelve olive oils recommended in its December 2005 issue and in March, 2006, the oils were recommended by the New York Times, with food columnist Florence Fabricant naming the Soury varietal her favorite.
“I am extremely pleased that Sobeys is bringing Israeli Gold™ oils to Canada,” said John McBride, president of Harrington Trace, “Sobeys is not only making our oils available to Canadians for the first time, but it has the ability to bring Israeli Gold™ oils to a much larger number of customers than we could otherwise reach.”
