Reynolds Buick GMC Isuzu is 95 years old this year, and they are having an open house event to celebrate. Known for selling new and pre-owned Buick and GMC vehicles and Isuzu commercial trucks, Reynolds invites one and all to come to the dealership for food and entertainment, including prizes and jazz music. An In-N-Out Burger truck will be there to cater the event, which takes place on October 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Reynolds open house also features a true Buick classic. Jack Mancini, a Buick historian and car buff out of Rhode Island and a friend to Reynolds Buick GMC Isuzu has been completely restoring a 1965 Buick GS as a tribute to the original. Mancini has been meticulously researching the exact specifications of the 1965 Buick GS driven by Lennie “Pop” Kennedy and sponsored by Reynolds Buick GMC Isuzu in the sixties in order to re-create the vehicle down to the last detail.

In the sixties, Lenny “Pop” Kennedy drove the original automatic transmission 1965 Buick GS that was sponsored by Reynolds Buick GMC Isuzu. The engine had been blueprinted to stock specs, the heads were treated to a performance valve job, hooker headers were added (and uncorked at the strip), 4.30 gears were fitted, and the rear suspension was fitted with Casler recap tires and a 4.30-geared posi. The 1965 Buick GS made the quarter mile run in 13.42 seconds at 104.46 mph.*

Not content with just one classic Buick, Reynolds Buick GMC Isuzu is featuring another historic Buick at the open house event. This 1970 Buick GS 455, now owned by Guy Parquette, once belonged to Pete Reynolds, who owns Reynolds Buick GMC Isuzu with his son Don. Not that this car’s history stops there, this classic Buick was driven by Lenny “Pop” Kennedy himself. The 1970 Buick GS 455, which is being brought down from Wisconsin, ran the quarter mile run in 10.89 seconds at 126.85 mph.

Reynolds Buick GMC Isuzu is also happy to announce that the 2011 Buick Regal is making big news. The 2011 Buick Regal was named a “2010 Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This test included good performance in front, side, rollover and rear test and electronic stability control, and the 2011 Buick Regal received nearly top marks for every measurement taken in the test.
