Goverlan Version 7.55 is released, improving upon the IT systems management solution’s usability and user experience with Windows 8 Support, User-Interface Branding, a GPUpdate command, and IE Version reporting.

In a continuous effort to improve the functionality and user experience of its systems management software solutions, PJ Technologies today announced the release of version 7.55 of Goverlan, boasting several useful additions.

Client-Side User Interface Branding

Goverlan 7.55 introduces support for image & text customization on the client-side user interface, which allows systems administrators to personalize the look of interactive windows displayed on the end-users’ machines. This feature supports adding a company logo or modifying the messages displayed on the client-side interface, which greatly improves corporate end-users’ experience and confidence while being remote supported by their organization’s IT department.

Goverlan 7.55 now allows for dispatching a GPUPDATE command to specified workstations. This can be accomplished by making a computer selection and right clicking to select the “Update Group Policy” command to run a gpupdate /force on the selected targets. An Update Group Policy action on large sets of machines can also be performed via the Goverlan Scope Action feature (Scope Actions allows for real-time reporting and pushing systems management tasks enterprise-wide.)

Windows 8 Support for Client & Technician

Goverlan now extends full support Windows 8 and can be installed on Windows 8 Operating Systems and Windows 8 clients are supported by the Goverlan Agents.

Internet Explorer Version Reported

With Windows Vista and subsequent versions, the Goverlan Internet Explorer Version is no longer being reported in Add/Remove programs. In Goverlan 7.55, an IE version has been added under the System Information section. The IE Version can be queried on a per machine basis or an IE Version Report can be generated for all machines.

Pricing and Availability

A free 30-day trial of Goverlan 7.55 is available for download (full version). Pricing for perpetual licenses starts at $299 (USD) for the Remote Control and $699 (USD) for the Remote Admin Suite, with volume discounts available.
