Employees Only was the winner of the World’s Best Cocktail Bar at the 2011 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. For their appearance at this year’s 2012 event in New Orleans, they contacted Crooked Brook to cut, sew and embroider their bartender jackets.

Their jacket is Crooked Brook style M205, in White, 100% cotton gabardine fabric, with 2-front hip pockets, and Faux Mother of Pearl buttons.

Embroidery is as follows:

Left chest, in Black colored thread and Script-1 font: Title (Apprentice or Principal Bartender)
Right shoulder sleeve, in Black colored thread: Employees Only logo (EO)

In addition, on July 26th 2012 10:30pm – 4am, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Tales of the Cocktail, the EO gang (Billy Gilroy, Henry LaFargue, Jason Kosmas, Dushan Zaric and Igor Hadzismajlovic) will transform the bawdy New Orleans One Eyed Jack’s into EO’s popular Manhattan West Village cocktail haven.

Partner and Co-Owner of Employees Only, Henry LaFargue, who is a native of New Orleans, proudly brings his home away from home back to where he came from and where it all started. He says: “The New Orleans vibrant, old-school panache lends a certain dignity to otherwise debauched activities. The same goes at EO – I am honored and thrilled to finally bring the two together for an epic one-night affair that will be remembered for years to come- unless you drink too much of course!“

About Employees Only

The atmosphere at Employees Only was created to evoke the frivolous spirit of the 1920's and 30's. During Prohibition, patrons of speakeasies raised their glasses in defiance of the ban on alcohol. While there are many criminal aspects during this period that are not glorified, America has romanticized the roaring 20's as one of our first cultural revolutions. It was behind these closed doors that men and women first enjoyed the pleasures of drinking and socializing together.

Employees Only was named World’s Best Cocktail Bar at the 2011 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.

To enter the restaurant, look for the glowing neon "Psychic" sign. Employees Only uses some of the best natural and organic ingredients for the variety of dishes they serve.
