Every day’s an adventure with Miss Maddie Mae, boasts author Jackie Sowatsky. The author of the new book, “Miss Maddie Mae and Her New Friend Bits” (published by Trafford Publishing), Sowatsky takes readers into the imaginative world of Miss Maddie Mae where every day is filled with fun and new discoveries.

“All those wonderful, childhood memories and those summertime adventures of my daughter and her best friend growing up inspired me to write this particular book,” says Sowatsky.

Miss Maddie Mae is a playful young child with a big heart and vivid imagination. When a new neighbor moves in down the street, Miss Maddie Mae meets a little girl named Bits. The two become instant best friends and spend their summer riding bikes, playing hopscotch and having sleepovers at each other’s houses. As summer begins to wind down, the girls get excited about their first day of school. New adventures begin as they pick out first day outfits and ride the bus together.

Sowatsky plans on continuing the Miss Maddie Mae series with stories of losing a tooth and going to the doctor. She says, “I hope that when children read through the stories, they will relate to them. The stories will help them when meeting a new friend or what to expect when going to the doctor.”
