I wanted to open doors to other possibilities. This book is fresh; it’s different. I want the reader to go, ‘Hey, this could happen,’ and look at the world in a different perspective.

A young man named Seth Alecto is thrust into the midst of an underground war between Heaven and Hell in the new fiction by author Jacob Diehm, “Hands of God: The Threshold of Salvation” (published by iUniverse).
Seth is an honest family man with a wife and son. But his happy life is met with catastrophe when a drunk driver – the rich son of the new mayor – crashes into the family’s car and ends the lives of Seth’s wife Crystal and their son Alex.
As Seth’s life becomes a downward spiral of misery, he meets two women, one of whom he believes to be an angel. She touches his chest and it burns, causing Seth to flee from her. The next day, Seth realizes the woman’s touch created strange markings on his skin – markings that, when touched by Seth, allow him to see the sins committed by others. Because of this newfound power, Seth finds himself entangled in a battle against the demonic armies of Hell. God has granted him a title not yet held by a man; he has become a “Hand of God.”
“I think society today is attached to the past, especially religion,” Diehm says. “I wanted to open doors to other possibilities. This book is fresh; it’s different. I want the reader to go, ‘Hey, this could happen,’ and look at the world in a different perspective.”
