Stonehenge Partners (http://www.stonehengenyc.com/) is teaming up with the James Beard Foundation to present a series of food events in NYC. The inaugural event—titled A Moveable Feast: Apartment Hopping with JBF Greens and Stonehenge—will be hosted at The Ritz Plaza on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. The Ritz Plaza –a Times Square property owned and managed by Stonehenge—is located at 235 West 48th Street.
The James Beard Foundation and Stonehenge NYC will host an apartment party in which JBF Greens members and Stonehenge residents will apartment hop throughout the Ritz Plaza, working their way through gourmet bites and tasty beverages. The James Beard Greens events are NYC-area culinary programs geared specifically towards local foodies between the ages of 21 and 39 years old.
A Moveable Feast is just the first of a series of food events in NYC that will be hosted by the James Beard Foundation and Stonehenge.
“As we look for creative ways and enthusiastic partners to help us fulfill our mission to celebrate, nurture and preserve America's diverse culinary heritage and future, the James Beard Foundation is delighted to enter into this new relationship with Stonehenge,” said Kris Moon, Director of Charitable Giving and Strategic Partnerships for The James Beard Foundation. “Food, like shelter, is not just a necessity; it is one of the great joys of life. We look forward to developing programs together that highlight New York's unique and delicious food culture.”

"Food is such a central part of the home and of every New Yorker's life. Our relationship with the James Beard Foundation was a natural choice for improving the lifestyle experience of our residents."

About the James Beard Foundation http://www.jamesbeard.org
Founded in 1986, the James Beard Foundation is dedicated to celebrating, nurturing, and preserving America’s diverse culinary heritage and future. A cookbook author and teacher, James Beard was a champion of American cuisine who helped educate and mentor generations of professional chefs and food enthusiasts. Today the Beard Foundation continues in the same spirit by offering a variety of events and programs designed to educate, inspire, entertain, and foster a deeper understanding of our culinary culture. These programs include educational initiatives, food industry awards, an annual national food conference, Leadership Awards program, culinary scholarships, and publications. In addition to maintaining the historic James Beard House in New York City’s Greenwich Village as a “performance space” for visiting chefs, the Foundation has created a robust online community, and hosts tastings, lectures, workshops, and food-related art exhibits in New York City and around the country. Insights on food can be found at the James Beard Foundation’s blog Delights & Prejudices and prospective members can join at jamesbeard.org/join.
