Facebook Like and Google +1 are today's version of word of mouth
Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) July 21, 2011
This coming October 28-30, Australian online business expert James Schramko issues the third installment to his live internet marketing training workshop called FastWebFormula3. The importance of the event extends far beyond the sharing of strategies, says Schramko, who is known for his passion to teach and connect with others. He says:
"We all are social beings. I think the boom in social media outlets is proof enough that people want to connect. The idea behind FastWebFormula3, other than revealing strategies on how to grow businesses, is to build connections with those pursuing similar goals. It is an opportunity for us all of us to learn from each other - my colleagues and I are certainly looking forward to a social exchange with those in attendance."
In related news, a report by REUTERS indicates a dip in advertising revenues from the largest newspaper chain in the US, Gannett. In contrast, Facebook ad prices are said to have jumped up a staggering 74%, revealing that advertising companies are now targeting social media networks more than ever. Forecasts indicate that advertising will radically shift towards social media in 2012.
"Building a business is all about building relationships. We know it - advertisers know it. The social marketing aspect will rely on feedback from friends and this is where our relationships matter. From past experiences, relying on word of mouth may not always be enough. The Facebook Like and Recommend buttons, or Google's +1 are today's version of word of mouth. What better way to receive recommendations than from people you've already met and are connected with in a meaningful way?" said Mr Schramko.
In preparation for the massive shift in advertising trends, James Schramko will be joined by Jennifer Sheahan - Facebook expert known as PPC mom and founder of FB Ads Lab. The US-born Sheahan, now a resident of Oz, will reveal how to setup and run strategic and profitable Facebook ad campaigns.
Last year's event had 220 in attendance, many of whom will be returning for another dose of FastWebFormula. This year's workshop will include online business experts from the US, UK, Switzerland and Australia. The venue has moved from the capital city, Sydney, to the sunny coasts of Caloundra, Queensland.
