The nimble shall inherit the Internet… or at the very least command a majority of its users’ attention. To turn from a small-scale company into a large-scale business, Internet marketing expert James Schramko knows it’ll take more than a regular video camera and a popular video-sharing site to achieve major league status in any industry. “If you want to scale your business into the multi-million dollar mark and if you want to have a team you will need some high level solutions,” Schramko recently revealed in his latest video detailing some of the most highly prized Internet marketing solutions to date. From investing in premium domains to using the relevant marketing tools, businesses get schooled on brand development and empire growth.
Schramko dispels the myth that businesses new to the Internet territory should start with a new domain. The Internet marketing expert relates, “When it comes to websites, a lot of people including myself start out by buying a new domain. But you’re going to get a reasonably crappy domain buying it new. A lot of the fantastic domains are gone. The one word, the two words — a lot of them are no longer available. But they are available second-hand. I figured that out and started buying premium domain names like SEOPartner and SilverCircle. They weren’t just sitting there ready to buy. They were already gone but I was able to buy them for a reasonable sum and then develop them. And it brings that brand value to the table, which I’ve talked about at other times.”
Incidentally, Schramko recently offered more domain names and mature websites up for sale on his newly launched websites for sale site called VREDirect. Twelve of those sites have already been acquired. Says Schramko, “People recognize for the same price as building a small brand new website, you can get a matured website with indexed pages with fresh cache dates, in some cases with search positions already in hot markets. And you’ll also get backlinks to these sites.”
When it comes to Internet marketing tools, the Australian online marketing expert says, “Sometimes it’s okay to mix components to get a better result.” The ideal result being for businesses to grow over a long-term period, and maybe even, to outlast the competition.
Schramko shares his own blend of components, “I picked platforms that I think I can survive with for quite some time. That will do the things I need to do or most of the things I need to do. In this case I’m using Office Autopilot combined with Nanacast. When Office Autopilot probably could do some of the cart and affiliate functions, Nanacast has been my superior solution for that for several years and I think it’s going to continue to be strong. So I actually get extra power by combining them.”
Schramko recommends a long list of other tools and provides compelling reasons as to their needs on a recent podcast of InternetMarketingSpeed with Luke Moulton.
But however gainful these tools are for any business in any industry, Schramko still underscores the value of building relationships through actual human interaction.
Schramko explains, “It’s great meeting people on camera and in the iTunes store but when you go to events and you can sit down and share a meal or drink with someone — you really get to know them. That’s why you should attend live events. You should network with people. Go to the local meet-ups in FastWebFormula. Go to industry events… What you will find is when you go out and meet people, that’s when you can turn that Internet marketing skill into cash.”
