'Overwhelmed' is a common thing that most entrepreneurs face. We take on too much and we feel overwhelmed by it. But it's something that we can control, if we're paying attention to how many cycles we have going on at one time.

The feeling of being overwhelmed is no new sensation to people who regularly manage teams, build contact lists, and supervise production processes, among others — basically, anyone running business operations for most of the day. What are the best ways to get organized, control projects, and experience better focus on one's goals? These are discussed by Super Fast Business CEO James Schramko and Smart Marketer Inc. owner and creative director Ezra Firestone in the fourth episode of their new podcast site ThinkActGet.com.

The co-hosts begin the podcast by thanking listeners for the site's healthy performance on iTunes since its launch early this year. ThinkActGet.com is featured in the New and Newsworthy section on iTunes and is currently ranked third in Australia's Health section and ninth in the same section in the United States. "I'm absolutely thankful to our listeners for making ThinkActGet have an impact," says Schramko.

"The response we've been getting from people is unbelievable. I, too, am very thankful that people are listening in and enjoying it and interacting with us. I'm really blown away – I didn't expect this level of excitement," adds Firestone.

Schramko explains that ThinkActGet's recent move to the Business section on iTunes stems from the fact that the podcasts keep gravitating back to business. "In the context of our show — which is about mindset, behavior and results — it seems that a lot of these things are causing the success we're having in our business, and hopefully we can inspire other people to have success in their life as well."

Firestone goes on to explain the current episode's point of focus. "'Overwhelmed' is a common thing that most entrepreneurs face. We take on too much and we feel overwhelmed by it. But it's something that we can control, if we're paying attention to how many cycles we have going on at one time."

The co-hosts use the terms "cycles" or "projects" to refer to any tasks that a business owner may be involved in at any given time. One of the best ways to combat the feeling of getting overwhelmed by the multitude of cycles one may have going simultaneously is to keep oneself from becoming unorganized.

According to Firestone, documenting one's tasks, the goals he plans to accomplish, and the responsibilities that must be delegated to team members can do much to enable an entrepreneur to stay focused, organized, and productive. Having a simple or a detailed record of the process for every task can help a person stay on top of things.

Maintaining a "whiteboard system" is another recommendation made by the Super Fast Business CEO in the podcast. From his experience in sales, Schramko shares that a business owner or leader does not need to have all the answers on the spot and all the time. The important thing, he emphasizes, is having access to a system of keeping notes. "Make notes and have a place to store them in for reviewing later," he encourages. Better yet, it helps if one would use a whiteboard for writing down tasks that he would like to get back to later in the day.

The concept is similar to the practice of clearing up a computer's cache in order to free up space to allow new information to come in. This way, Schramko explains, a business owner will have the capacity to accommodate and process new information without compromising his ability to understand and act on earlier information.

Sydney, Australia-based Schramko creates information products, coaches fellow marketers and advanced business owners in building their wealth, and provides products and services across the online marketing scene that are designed to help businesses build their assets, promote their brand, and create a strong and stable income stream faster. Firestone is based in New York City and is also owner and partner at BOOM! By Cindy Joseph, the first pro-age cosmetic line for women of every generation.
