It is Schombs’ hope that after reading the book, readers will begin to understand the true threats that surround them in the world.

After extensive research, author James Schombs came to two conclusions about the war on terror: there was a lack of effective leadership and it seemed no one generally wanted it to end. In “The Time Fuse and the Powder Keg” (published by AuthorHouse), Schombs shows readers what he believes is going on.

“The Time Fuse and the Powder Keg” takes readers into the current state of the world through a fictitious group of retired NATO Special Operations Forces. This group has decided to remain friends through retirement and agree to meet once every year at another operator’s nation. As the story progresses, the retired teammates become frustrated with global tensions with terrorism and failed political schemes that are poor judgments that do not help the public. As the economy begins to drop and the world has an international recession, the retired group decides to once again band together and do something to correct the ineffective leaders and security for the public. But, just how will they do this and by what means?

It is Schombs’ hope that after reading the book, readers will begin to understand the true threats that surround them in the world.
