East Coast Main Line Boosts Revenue by Millions with JDA Software

JDA® Rail Price Manager enables East Coast Main Line to increase annual sales by more than $7 million by accurately forecasting demand and managing prices in real time

(NASDAQ: JDAS) announced today that one of the UK’s leading rail companies, East Coast Main Line Company Limited, is boosting revenue by driving improved pricing through the use of JDA® Rail Price Manager. Owned by Directly Operated Railways Limited, East Coast Main Line runs high-speed passenger services, carrying more than 18 million people annually between London and major cities in northern England and Scotland.

East Coast Main Line has increased its annual sales by more than $7 million by using JDA Rail Price Manager to accurately forecast demand by modeling true customer price sensitivity and managing prices to better meet customer demand, while maximizing revenue potential. The company has improved its demand forecast accuracy by 17 percent compared to its previous system.

According to Donnelly, East Coast is seeing a significant uptick in advance-purchase tickets, which account for over $358 million of its $785 million in annual revenue.
