Either way, this is just the beginning, not the end, of wireless wars yet to come.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 08, 2013
According to the Wall Street Journal, DISH Network is now bidding to acquire Clearwire in a just published article titled, Clearwire Receives $5.15 Billion Buyout Bid from Dish.
The following comments are attributable to Jeff Kagan Wireless Analyst.
“It looks like Clearwire is suddenly the bell of the ball.”
“Sprint Nextel offered to acquire Clearwire to increase their own value in the other deal they are trying to complete the Softbank deal. Clearwire agreed.”
“Now DISH Network is jumping in and could turn this into a bidding war.”
“What will happen next? Will Sprint increase their bid or will they simply say they have a deal? We'll have to see.”
“If Sprint loses Clearwire what impact would that have on their Softbank deal?”
“Sprint was struggling and trying to grow. If this interferes with the Softbank deal will this have a negative impact on Sprint?”
“This raises so many questions. Either way this is a very interesting turn of events, but not entirely surprising.”
“DISH has signaled their interest in expanding their satellite television business to wireless.”
“Either way, this is just the beginning, not the end, of wireless wars yet to come.”
