Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 13, 2013
Today Samsung announced their wireless 5G speeds as covered in this Business Week article.
Wireless analyst Jeff Kagan comments on this story.
“The wait is over. I have been waiting for the first company to start using 5G in their marketing. Samsung is the first company to use 5G in their marketing. The only problem is 5G is still years away. We haven't even rolled out 4G around the country yet. That will still take several more years.” Says Industry analyst Jeff Kagan.
“Samsung says 5G will download hundreds of times faster than 4G. That sounds amazing. While 4G is so fast, we don't have anything that needs 5G speeds yet. So as exciting as this sounds, sit back down, because it will be the end of this decade before anything 5G hits the marketplace. But it is fun to start talking about, isn't it?” Says analyst Kagan.
“Now that Samsung started the 5G ball rolling, I fully expect other companies to jump on the same wagon. Just wait. You'll see. Over the next few months everyone will be talking about 5G.” Says Kagan.
