Jennifer graduated Fordham University in New York and holds a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Jennifer is a Certified Nutritionist, a Certified personal trainer, and a senior black belt instructor in HapKiDo.
Jennifer has appeared as an expert on The Today Show, E! TV, The Bethenny Show, The Doctors, Women’s Health Magazine, Fitness Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, New York Post and on National Public Radio.
As the Holistic Health Counselor for Paradigm Malibu, Jennifer regularly assists adolescents to create healthy habits now, which she expects will assist them as they make the sometimes-difficult transition into adulthood.
“I really enjoy helping young adults to harness their inner power,” Jennifer said.
Jennifer conducts group sessions with youths at Paradigm Malibu. She focuses on helping teens make appropriate decisions regarding food, fitness and all aspects of their physical and emotional health. Jennifer is regularly called upon to counsel teens who are struggling with unhealthy body image issues.
“Sometimes we have to peel back the layers to get to the real root of the issue. In some cases, there is a deep, internal conflict that must be addressed. We often find that pressure from the media can cause undue strain and anxiety,” Jennifer said. “I let them know that they are not alone and that there are many other teens going through very similar experiences,” Jennifer said.
Some of Jennifer’s outside interests include her “Stilettos and Self Defense” program, wherein she empowers women to become more self-aware. Jennifer teaches women safety and self-defense techniques, how to avoid dangerous situations and how to defend themselves using “weapons” that can be found in a woman’s purse.
