When author Jennifer Manghisi was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 24, she thought she was too young for the disease. Turns out, two percent of females who are diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States are 35 years or younger, and often get overlooked. In her motivational memoir, "A Sarcastic Guide to Beating Breast Cancer," Jennifer Manghisi shares what she learned on her journey to survival.

Manghisi had a mastectomy of her right breast and underwent two rounds of chemotherapy and one round of radiation over a three year span. She faced many challenges while going through treatment including a fluctuation in weight, depression and low self-esteem. Manghisi shares important and insightful advice on becoming a breast cancer survivor that only experience can teach.

Manghisi had just emerged as an influencer in the pop culture scene in New York City when she was diagnosed with cancer. Already a successful writer of various blogs and a party promoter, her life was moving at warp speed. She was not prepared for the setback that came with the cancer diagnoses.
