High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (PRWEB UK) 20 November 2013
Jessops, well-known photographic retailer and phoenix of the beleaguered British high street, held its 2013 Christmas Conference at Lane End Conference Centre, Buckinghamshire.
After going into administration in early 2013, the Jessops brand was bought by a consortium of buyers led by business entrepreneur and star of Dragons’ Den, Peter Jones.
A successful re-launch as a multi-channel company meant that the retailer survived.
There are currently 25 stores of the camera chain open in major towns and cities in the UK alongside a new online website, Jessops.com.
The event at Lane End brought together around 50 members of Jessops’ team to brief them on future plans and allow them to get to grips with the latest camera technology.
Following a welcome address from Jessops’ Chief Executive, Neil Old, delegates attended individual interactive presentations given by 14 of the world’s leading digital camera and equipment brands.
A networking lunch in the international conference centre’s Wycombe Hall and Wycombe Court lounges provided further opportunity for individuals to chat to suppliers about latest products.
In the afternoon guests received a surprise talk from Peter Jones, followed by a gala dinner in the conference centre’s large Pavilion room.
Naturally, the wine accompaniment to dinner was provided by Peter Jones’ own wine retailer.
“It was a pleasure to host Jessops’ Christmas Conference at Lane End,” said Sales and Marketing Manager, Heni Fourie.
“The location was ideal as we are not only a short distance from Jessops’ new head office in Marlow but within reach of the M4 and M25, providing easy access for delegates coming from different areas of the country.”
