JET Uniform and Supply, formerly QuatroTec Industrial Services, believe that giving back to the community is part of their business. This December, the “Casual Friday” program will be introduced to make donations to the United Way.

JET Uniform & Supply staff, providers of uniforms, workwear, and cleaning supplies for the toughest jobs on earth.

For the past couple of years, JET employees have been required to serve 4 hours each month at the Red Deer Food Bank as part of their employment.

We understand that there is a real need for help at the Red Deer Food Bank and believe it is our responsibility as a local business to give back to our community.

Coveralls, workwear, and janitorial supplies are not the only things Red Deer businesses receive from JET Uniform and Supply. Beginning in December 2012, JET is expanding its community service program to include donation to the United Way as part of its company policy. They are calling this program “Casual Friday” and plan to allow employees to wear casual clothing each Friday in return for an ongoing payroll deduction, donated to the United Way. It has been a while since JET changed its name from QuatroTec, and the Alberta-based company is still looking for ways to improve its company and its employees.

JET is looking forward to this new endeavor to give back to their community. They already have a long-standing relationship with the Red Deer Food Bank. For the past couple of years, JET employees have been required to serve 4 hours each month at the food bank as part of their employment. JET also provides the food bank with complimentary floor mats and occasional cleaning supplies. JET co-owner, Ross Stuve, said, “Serving at the food bank sets our company apart from others, but that’s not why we do it. We understand that there is a real need for help at the Red Deer Food Bank and Stephen (Milaney, co-owner) and I believe it is our responsibility as a local business to give back to our community. When Fred (the local food bank director) came and explained just how much of a difference our service makes, our employees became even more supportive of the program.”

Nearly ten years ago, the JET Uniform and Supply owners evolved a laundromat into a full service provider of not only uniforms, coveralls, and PPE and safety supplies, but also with the services that companies require to accompany them. Industrial laundry, mending services, peripheral goods, and quality janitorial supplies enable customers in the oil and gas industry, restaurant industry, and more to have one provider for a wide range of company needs. JET is continually expanding their product and service offerings to meet the demands of the businesses in their community. Now, with the additional charitable service programs they are implementing, JET is finding more ways to make a difference.

JET owners, Stephen and Ross, understand what it is like to work hard under adverse conditions. A 2008 fire nearly brought the company to its end. However, by working through the difficult times with determination, they rebuilt their company and believe in the power of hard work. JET Uniform and Supply continues to work with businesses in Red Deer, Calgary, Edmonton, and communities throughout Alberta.
