$1 Million JobCannon Giveaway to Benefit Central Texas Job Seekers

JobCannon.com, an online solution that accelerates a job search, is giving away $1 million in JobCannon subscriptions to central Texas job seekers and their friends nationwide. JobCannon executives will first reveal the surprise giveaway on Friday, Nov. 13 to job seekers in Austin who have been instrumental in providing insight and support to the local company.

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) November 13, 2009 -- Not many consider Friday the 13th a lucky day. JobCannon.com, an online solution that accelerates a job search, is turning that notion on its ear this Friday by giving away $1 million in JobCannon subscriptions to central Texas job seekers and their friends. JobCannon executives will reveal the surprise giveaway to 300 job hunters during the Launchpad Job Club meeting Friday at 10 a.m. at the Monarch Events Center, Lincoln Village Shopping Center, 6406 IH35 North, Austin Texas.

At the meeting, Launchpad members will receive two vouchers, one for themselves and one for a friend, redeemable for a 1-year subscription to JobCannon. The special subscription code on the vouchers is good for the first 10,000 subscribers or through Nov. 30. JobCannon also will announce formation of a clublet (a small group meeting) designed to inspire job seekers to be more proactive and organized in their job search while using their free JobCannon subscription.

“We understand the pain of job hunting and want to help those in our hometown accelerate their job search and find a great job faster. We’ve found the input from Launch Pad Job Club members to be vital in helping us understand what job seekers need and want in an online solution. We wanted our product launch to be a thank you celebration for their efforts,” said Joshua Shipsey, CEO of JobCannon.

Shipsey is encouraging Central Texans to utilize their “friend voucher” to touch other job seekers both locally, as well as throughout the U.S. In forming the job seeker clublet, JobCannon will test market the idea in Austin and then replicate it to other major cities in the U.S.

JobCannon has been in stealth mode for more than a year developing its online solution to accelerate job searching. The online solution offers OpportunityAlerts to relevant job postings as well as connections into the company, proactive reminders to help job seekers make all the right follow-up moves, easy document management that links personalized resumes and cover letters to specific applications, email, calendar and other organizational tools.

Other job clubs interested in forming a clublet may contact JobCannon at information(at)jobcannon(dot)com.
